I am Buzzbot

"In terms of digital income, we've made more money out of this record than out of all the other Radiohead albums put together,"  says front man Thom Yorke, in a new interview.  The pay-what-you-want model Radiohead used for In Rainbows was under fire recently when a report came out saying almost two thirds of downloaders didn't pay a cent for the new album. Lily Allen had us all going when she said she planned to retire at age 25.  The 22 year-old songstress has since clarified that statement saying,

"Of course I'm not going to retire. This was the biggest joke in my life and I just cannot believe people would actually believe this junk."

"I talk c**p all the time and they all know it, so how come this time they didn't get it. Silly people. I am having the best time of my life."

Sweet.  That means we'll get to hear more inspired work from Lily in the future, although Stereogum doesn't think we'll see a new album until sometime in 2009.

In the meantime, Lily has recorded a cover of Electric Light Orchestra's Mr. Blue Sky (one of my all-time faves) for a French phone company.  You can see the commercial here and listen to the full song here.
