SXSW '08: It's a Grand Ole Party; Black Keys also throw down



Let's start with the trio, a San Diego band called Grand Ole Party. Singer/drummer Kristin Gundred claims they are playing 100 more shows this week in Austin and I'm going to be at all of them, mainly because I'm in love with her. She looks and sounds like Karen O, but with a little Amy Winehouse mixed in, and of course the whole Meg White drum thing, multiplied by 10 (she's that much better). Read more...

Hannah Montana sales sputtering; NIN dis SoundScan

Rejoice! Country bumpkin Alan Jackson will top next week's Billboard 200 with the release of his Good Time album, according to Soundscan. Most importantly, he has banished Janet Jackson to the dark depths of third place.
Luckily, NIN didn't join in the fight to claim the #1 spot.
